In ‘Resistance Climbing’ American writer & climber Andrew Bisharat visits Palestine to explore his roots, meeting a diverse crew of Bedouins, activists and urban professionals who love climbing, taking on the rocky outcrops of Palestine. It soon becomes clear that like everyday life, climbing has its extra challenges - armed settlers who stop Palestinian development of new climbing areas and soldiers who threaten imprisonment if their orders to leave are not followed immediately. As one climber says 'Existing is resistance here'. To climb and to find joy in one's existence is to make that resistance even more forceful.
In “Walls Cannot Keep Us From Flying'’ Omar and Yasmeen like other young Palestinians, despite obstacles, are determined to make the best of life. They do this by riding their skateboards and encouraging others to do the same. The film is a glimpse into the growing skateboard community in occupied Palestine today.
